It was few days back that Jayanth informed me of the Walkathon being held by Aashayein foundation. Saturday night, he was here to handover the entry tickets. With the event to start at 7:30 in the morning, i woke up at 6:30 and drove to Indiranagar to pick up Manoz. Together, speeding across the deserted streets of Bangalore, we were at the Kanteerava stadium in time. There were already a huge number of people gathered over there. Mostly students from colleges and people from the software firms. After an introduction from the Aashayein founders, the Walkathon started at 8. Walking along the road by the stadium and through the Cubbon park, we were back to where we started after a four kilometer walk.

Paintings by the kids
The Aashayein foundation aims to educate the kids from the economically weaker sections of society and this Walkathon was to generate awareness as well as to raise funds to meet the monetary requirements for educating kids.
